About My Blog

“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” -1 Peter 1:6-7

Believers are not ever called to fit in.

We are called to live as the aliens we are. We were not made for this world; we were made for Heaven. We were made to bring God glory, not ourselves.

We are called to be set apart from this world. We are called to be different. And through that difference, other people should notice and want the joy, the love, the freedom that Christ offers through His death and resurrection.

As strangers in this world, life will not be easy. As believers, we will be hated in this world, but Jesus said in John 15 that we will be hated because He was hated first.

This world hates truth. This world lives in darkness because it is afraid of the light.

Jesus is called the Light of the World, and we are called to shine that light on the world, revealing its sin and delivering God’s glorious truth to a dying and lying world.

We are loved. We are given peace. We are comforted. We are free. We no longer have to fear.

We are called to love because we are loved. We are called to show the world the peace only He can bring. We are called to comfort others as we have been comforted by the Lord. We are called to show the world the freedom we can have through Christ, and Christ alone.

Through Christ, we no longer have to fear about the world, because Jesus has already conquered it!
